are you a squatter or a fidgeter?

i'm interested in people's working habits - especially those without a regular place to sit. when you're working from spaces like those here on andco, do you stay in the same place all day, or are you moving between multiple places in a day? do you go back to the same haunt all the time, or move around?

Haha. Good question. I'd say I'm a squatter until I start being unproductive. Sometimes I can "squat" for the whole day but if I need a reset moving between places can really help me out. What about you Matthew?

I need to move around within the same place every hour or so, and ideally, i'll break my day in two - somewhere in the morning, go for a nice lunch break, and then somewhere else in the afternoon - so try and design meetings to encourage that.  I've sat in four different places in the same venue today alone. Definitely a fidget :)

haha, 4 different venues! wow.  perhaps i'll bump into you sometime soon!  What sort of freelance work are you doing?

Varied, but mostly exploring and prototyping the future. Today - i've written a presentation that I'm giving on Thursday on the Future of Brand Marketing; created a proposition deck for a startup who are creating an app for smart speakers; and now I'm working on my side hustle: http://manualof.me/ What about you Harry?

I'm terrible at sitting still, so definitely a fidgeter! (it's the reason I simply cannot work from home!) Will often work at 2 AndCo's in the same day just for a change of scenery / seat :)

Ever since quitting full time work, I find it really hard to sit still for long periods - I really notice the stiffness in my body if I do! Never thought about going to different venues though, good idea!

I tend to stick to a place all day - depending on the meetings I have, I'd usually find an AndCo space nearby and set up shop for the day. I tend to get into a mental zone where I can work for a long period of time without interruptions. Moving around too much breaks my train of thought however it is very useful to move around if I hit a mind blank - I usually manage to sort it out in my head whilst I walk around or do something outside.
